School of Chinese Martial Arts - Authentic Traditional Chinese Martial Arts

Military personnel

Over the years we have had a number of students from the armed forces join our club before they are deployed in overseas posts throughout the world. Most of these students shared the same concern, the empty hand fighting techniques taught to them are minimal and way to much emphasis placed on locking and throwing (grappling).

Often the only type of training offered in the military is sport's like boxing, kick boxing or mixed martial arts. This had led to us developing programs special designed for military personnel.

The main emphasis will be in striking, using quick powerful blows to disable your opponent, no wrestling on the ground and high kicks as you will be fully dressed in your combat gear when the need arises to use unarmed fighting techniques.

Hand gun and knife defence will be an important part of the course. As will  knife fighting, that is how to use a knife against another armed opponent.

Basics of spear techniques will be leaned as this will increase you effectiveness with your bayonet skills.
The British during the boxer rebellion acknowledged the superiority of the Chinese spear techniques to there own bayonet fighting tactics and skills.
